Dr. Abdellatif Attafi (Douieb El Attafi) was born in Tangier, Morocco. He is a professor of French who received his Ph.D. at the University of Lille, France, with a specialization in Educational Science. Dr. Attafi has been at the College of Charleston since 1988 and is the director of the summer program in Morocco (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRaDeQmC3hg). Dr. Attafi served on the executive board of the Conseil International des Etudes Francophones (CIEF). His favorite author is Ben Jelloun Tahar and his research interests include North African Literature, Education, and the use of technology in teaching. He enjoys writing in his spare time.
